Minnesota United signs goalkeeper Irwin
Minnesota United has signed a new goalkeeper after losing its starter last month.
Tuesday, the team announced the signing of Clint Irwin to a two-year deal, which includes a club option.
Irwin previously played for Colorado Rapids and also has played for Toronto.
In his career, Irwin has more than 200 appearances, including eight playoff appearances and 37 shutouts across 10 MLS seasons.
His signing comes after Tyler Miller left in free agency for D.C. United last month.
The 33-year-old Irwin is now expected to help fill that hole.
