Minnesota United players to begin voluntary workouts at National Sports Center
Minnesota United players can begin voluntary individual training at National Sports Center in Blaine beginning on Tuesday, May 12.
Players have not been allowed access to the facility since the 2020 MLS season was suspended on March 12 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Players will be allowed to practice without gloves and a face covering but must wear a mask while entering and exiting the facilities. All non-player personnel must wear gloves and a face covering at all times. No indoor facilities will be open, so players will only have access to the outdoor practice field and parking lot. Upon arrival, all players will have their temperature taken and must sanitize their hands.
Additional precautions include staggered times of practices, the practice field being divided into different sections and players will not be allowed to shoot on goalkeepers.
