Minnesota United: No new positive COVID-19 tests
Minnesota United said Friday that it hasn’t received any new positive COVID-19 tests over the past two days of PCR testing.
According to the club, all players and staff, including the person who returned a preliminary positive result during rapid diagnostic testing, have tested negative for the virus in two subsequent PCR tests.
The news comes after the team’s Wednesday match against Chicago was postponed due to a COVID-19 positive test among United’s roster of players. That was the second straight postponed match for the Loons after Sunday’s match in Dallas was called off when two United players tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday.
The organization said it will resume small group training on Saturday pending no further positive test results.
