Minnesota United FC is hot and hopes to stay that way

When a team finds its stride it’s easy to see them enjoy the fruits of their labor and that’s exactly what Minnesota United FC is doing. The team is unbeaten in their last six matches and they don’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.

"We’re playing with a lot more confidence and it helps when we’re getting off to such a quick start. We’re putting pressure on opposing teams by scoring early and that’s certainly been helping us win games," MNUFC coach Adrian Heath said.

Adrian Hunou has been a welcomed addition to the Loons scoring twice in the past two games. Add to that the production of Franco Fragapane, and the team’s offensive performance has increased.

"When you get Franco (Fragapane) scoring along with Adrien Hunou, it’s helping our team quite a bit. I’m just happy they’re on our team. We’re playing well offensively, which has eased some of the pressure on us on the defensive side as well," Loons defender Chase Gasper said.

The San Jose Earthquakes will be in town this weekend. They’ve lost six of their last seven matches. Game time is set for 7 p.m. on Saturday at Allianz Field.
