Minnesota United FC is back in action Saturday in St. Paul, hosting Portland. The game can be seen at 2 p.m. on 5-Eyewitness News. This is the first match-up vs. the Timbers since the playoffs last year in Portland when the Loons fell, 3-1.

The Loons are red-hot, capturing 16 points in their last six matches, which is the most of any team in MLS over that stretch.

KSTP Sports was at practice on Friday in Blaine and spoke with manager Adrian Heath.

Heath provided plenty of news, saying that Emmanuel Reynoso and Kervin Arriaga, both questionable with ankle injuries, will play Saturday.

Heath also announced that the club has signed midfielder Robin Lod to a new three-year contract with a club option.

When asked whether the Loons will trade backup goalie Tyler Miller, Heath noted that there have been inquiries, but that they won’t just give him away.

One other note: Soon-to-be new addition Mender Garcia has received his immigration appointment in Colombia and the 23-year-old attacker is expected to arrive in Minnesota next week.
