Wednesday’s home game against Memphis will be the Timberwolves first since Karl-Anthony Towns departed Monday’s game in Washington with a leg injury that will keep him out 4-6 weeks.

When he initially went down, Towns’ injury looked worse than the apparent diagnosis . It was a non-contact injury that appeared to potentially be an achilles injury that would require long-term recovery.
The team says further testing Tuesday revealed Towns has a strained calf.
He’s expected to be back sometime in January.
