MIAC cancels nonconference play in 2020
On Thursday, the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) joined the growing list of college sports leagues in the country that have decided to avoid nonconference games for fall sports due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns.
The Big Ten Conference made the same decision last week. The Pac-12 and Big East followed suit.
This will be the final season for the University of St. Thomas, as they were approved by the NCAA to make the jump next year to Division I athletics.

"The conference will continue to evaluate options over the next several weeks before making a final decision on how and when athletics will return to MIAC campuses," the MIAC said in its news release.
The Midwest Conference also canceled its nonconference games for fall sports this year.
