Maple Grove volleyball beats Champlin Park 3-1

The Maple Grove Crimson volleyball team defeated the Champlin Park Rebels 3-1 on Thursday evening at Champlin Park High School.

The Crimson jumped out and took the first set 25-17. But, the second set was highly contested. The set was virtually ties throughtout. Champlin Park had Maple Grove down to set point, with a 24-22 lead. But, the Crimson fought back to win the set 26-24.
However, the Rebels did not give up without fighting. Champlin Park was down 23-22 in the third set, with Maple Grove serving. But, the Rebels made some big plays and eventually took the set 25-23.
The fourth set was all Maple Grove, though. The Crimson jumped out to a 15-5 set lead and never looked back. They ended up winning the set, and taking the match, 25-12.
