Maple Grove feels they have what it takes to win its first-ever Prep Bowl title. The once beaten Crimson will take on the unbeaten Lakeville South Cougars on Friday night for a winner take-all Class 6A title game.
"We like our chances. If we stay within our assignments, I believe we have what it takes to win our first football championship," said Maple Grove senior Mason South.

Both teams have firepower on offense. Maple Grove is scoring better than 30-points a game, while Lakeville South is scoring nearly 40-points per contest.
On the flip side, both defenses are holding opponents to 12 points or fewer a game. So to say the least, something is going to have to give.
"Our offense has had a lot of success this season just like Lakeville South has had. Both defenses are very good, as well. We’ll have to focus on our keys and our players will have to pay attention to their assignments. If we do that, we’ll have a chance to give them a good game," said Maple Grove head coach Matt Lombardi.
The Class 6A Prep Bowl will take place on Friday night at U.S. Bank Stadium with a start time of 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on 45-TV.
