Maple Grove football team off to great start in quest to return to Prep Bowl

KSTP Sports attended a Maple Grove Crimson football practice this week. Maple Grove is 2-0, with a goal of making it back to the 6A Prep Bowl. They fell to Lakeville South in the title game last November, finishing the season 11-2.
We spoke with head coach Matt Lombardi and senior tight end Sam Peters, a Gophers commit.

We also spoke with Lombardi about Northwestern RB Evan Hull, his former player. Hull is one of the best running backs in the Big Ten.
Maple Grove takes on Minnetonka Friday.
