Winning solves a lot of problems, and currently, the Minnesota Lynx are riding a three-game win streak. The third of those wins puts the Lynx above .500 for the first time this season. After starting the season 0-4, they’re now 8-7.

The Lynx play at Phoenix in the second game of a back-to-back on Saturday night.

"I expect this to be a very intense and hectic game. I always look forward to playing Phoenix in their own building. Their fans are loud and I love the energy everyone brings. It’ll be a lot of fun to play there again," said Lynx guard Kayla McBride.

McBride led all Lynx players with 26 points in the win over Phoenix on Wednesday. Momentum is such a big deal in the WNBA with such a short season, so every win is pivotal. Right now, the Lynx are hoping to keep this winning trend alive heading into an Olympic break, which kicks in after their game on July 11.

"I didn’t realize we even won three games in a row. We need to try and keep up this momentum, and our offensive rating has improved. I look forward to seeing how this team can still improve," said Lynx guard Layshia Clarendon.

Saturday night’s Lynx-Mercury game is set for a 9 p.m. Central start.
