Lynx’ Fowles named WNBA Defensive Player of the Year
Minnesota Lynx center Sylvia Fowles was named the 2021 WNBA Defensive Player of the Year on Sunday.
Fowles ranked second in the WNBA with 10.1 rebounds per game. She also averaged 1.8 steals and 1.8 blocks a game which both ranked second in the league. It’s the fourth time she has won the award.
The Lynx open the 2021 WNBA Playoffs against the Chicago Sky on Sunday at Target Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. central time.
