Wild players were surprised at the timing of Bruce Boudreau’s firing. We talked with goalies Alex Stalock, Devan Dubnyk, forward Mikko Koivu, and defenseman Ryan Suter.

The Wild are 7-3-1 in their last 11 games, creeping closer to a playoff spot. They currently sit three points back, and are in 11th place in the West.
General manager Bill Guerin, multiple times on Friday when addressing his decision to fire Boudreau, alluded to Thursday night’s loss. The Wild blew a 3-1 lead and lost 4-3 in a shootout vs. the Rangers.
KSTP Sports texted with Boudreau, but he is declining comment, for now.
