Lakeville’s Regan Smith qualifies for Tokyo Olympics
Team USA will have a Lakeville, Minnesota, native on the squad when it heads to Tokyo this summer.
Lakeville North graduate Regan Smith qualified for her first Olympic Games in the 100 backstroke on Tuesday.
Smith burst onto the world swimming scene with her record-setting performances at the World Championships in 2019.
While the COVID-19 pandemic delayed the Olympics and forced Smith to adjust her plans, it didn’t slow her down.
The Olympics are set to begin on July 23.
You earned it, @reganesmith4! ????
