Lakeville North boys hoops rout Minneapolis South

The Lakeville North Panther boys defeated the Minneapolis South Tigers 68-50 on Saturday evening at Totino-Grace High School in the annual Breakdown Big 12 Classic, bringing together 12 of the best programs in the Twin Cities metro area for a collision of superpowers.

The Tigers kept it close in the first half, only trailing 30-25 at the half. But, the second half was dominated by the Panthers. North junior forward Nolan Winter finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds, junior guard JT Thorton finished with 16 points, and sophomore guard Jack Robison also had a strong game for the Panthers.

For South, sophomore guard Poet Davis had15 points, including four three-pointers to lead the Tigers.
