Jake Layman returns to Timberwolves practice after missing 39 games with sprained toe
The Minnesota Timberwolves are getting a player back from injury.
According to the team, Jake Layman underwent evaluations by multiple foot specialists and was given clearance to return to practice on Thursday. Layman suffered a sprained toe on Nov. 18 at Utah and has missed 39 games since.
The Timberwolves said he will continue to be monitored closely by the team’s medical staff as he progresses. Layman is expected to re-evaluated in one week.
This season, the 25-year-old has played in 14 games with Minnesota and averaged a career-high 10.5 points on 46.2% shooting from the field, while also tallying a career-best 35.2% succession rate from the three-point line.
