For Twins not on the 40-man roster, it’s business as usual, and even sped up in some ways. Reporting date for spring training is Tuesday, but 95 percent of minor leaguers have been in Fort Myers training for weeks.
We caught up with Twins director of player development Alex Hassan Friday to hear about how things are going and if there is a way to quantify the benefits the players currently in Fort Myers have vs. those who can’t be there because they are locked out.

Among top Twins prospects who are currently in Fort Myers, thus not on the 40-man roster: INF/OF Austin Martin, SP Matt Canterino, SP Simeon Woods Richardson, SP Chase Petty, OF Matt Wallner, and 1B/DH Aaron Sabato.
