Q&A: Minneapolis native Craig McDonald on leaving Iowa St. to play safety for Auburn

Former Minnehaha Academy star defensive back Craig McDonald is transferring from Iowa State to Auburn. He has three years of eligibility remaining.
McDonald had 41 tackles and was tied for the team lead with two interceptions last season after redshirting for the 2020 season at Iowa State.
Our Darren ‘Doogie’ Wolfson caught up with McDonald before he makes the full-time move south.

McDonald is 6-foot-2, 190-pounds, and can immediately step in and help the Tigers’ defense. He’ll instantly compete for a starting job.
McDonald played in 410 total snaps for Iowa State last season.
