Former Phoenix Suns general manager Ryan McDonough, now an accomplished media personality, knows new Timberwolves president of operations Tim Connelly well. Once upon a time, Tim’s brother, Pat, was McDonough’s assistant GM in Phoenix.
Our Darren ‘Doogie’ Wolfson caught up with McDonough to hear his thoughts on the Wolves landing their new front office leader.

The Wolves will hold a news conference on Tuesday at 2 p.m. to introduce Connelly.
Connelly’s first order of business is the June 23 NBA Draft. The Wolves have pick No. 19 in the first round, plus picks 40, 48, and 50 in the second round.
