The righty-shot (6-foot-4, 180 pounds) is No. 19 in NHL Central Scouting’s final ranking of North American skaters.

Rinzel had 38 points (nine goals, 29 assists) in 27 games with Chaska and 10 points (two goals, eight assists) in 21 games with Waterloo of the USHL.

Rinzel is expected to join the Gophers for the 2023-2024 season after a full season with Waterloo.
