Holy Family upsets Minnetonka in MLK Day Girls Basketball Showcase

Holy Family high school went to overtime to beat Minnetonka 79-68 in the MLK Day Girls Basketball Showcase. Minnetonka was ranked No. 2 in Class 4A heading into the game and was undefeated at 11-0 on the season. Holy Family was ranked No. 5 in Class 2A at 13-2.
The Skippers trailed the entire game until Ki’ani Lockett hit a three-pointer that gave the Skippers the lead with 6:01 remaining. That made it 61-59.
Holy Family wouldn’t be denied though, as senior Lucy Hertl tied the game late. That sent the game to overtime.
Holy Family sophomore Jocelyn Land led all scorers with 33 points.
