Hill-Murray’s status for boys state hockey tourney up in the air

The Hill-Murray boys hockey team, defending state AA champs, won’t practice Monday after a recent opponent has produced at least COVID-19 positive test. The Pioneers’ status for this week’s state tournament is up in the air.

Hill-Murray is seeking guidance from the Minnesota State High School League and the Minnesota Department of Health on how to proceed. We’re told that the Pioneers will get tested immediately, and that nobody among the coaching and support and players is experiencing Covid-19 symptoms.

Hill-Murray, as of now, is scheduled to open up the state tourney vs. Wayzata in the quarterfinals Wednesday at 11 a.m.
