The Minnesota Vikings are holding training camp and with no fans in attendance, it’s the quietest camp they’ve ever held. But KSTP Sports, along with other media, had access on Friday afternoon
All players were active during practice, except for rookie cornerback Jeff Gladney and linebacker Cameron Smith. Smith will have season- ending heart surgery in the near future in Philadelphia.

This was the first availabilty for the media and technically the first practice of camp. The pads will be put on for Monday’s practice.
Vikings rookie wide receiver Justin Jefferson was turning heads. Dalvin Cook came into camp in shape and ready to have another productive season. Other faces to note: rookie offensive lineman Ezra Cleveland, second year running back Alexander Mattison, and rookie undrafted wide receiver Dan Chisena.
The Vikings don’t have any preseason games, so these practices will be vital for players trying to make the 53-man roster.
The Vikings first regular season game will be on September 13th against the Green Bay Packers at U.S. Bank Stadium.
