The Shakopee Sabers varsity softball team improved to 4-1 this season with a 12-2 win over Minnetonka on Thursday afternoon.

Shakopee reached the state tournament last season after beating Eden Prairie 2-1 in the Section 2AAAA championship. The Sabers lost to Forest Lake in the first round of the state tournament.
