“It’s great to be back in the gym again. We’ve had six days of work to get prepared for Green Bay. You know obviously you want to play in the NCAA Tournament, that is always the goal. This group earned a right to play in the postseason and we’re excited about it,” said Whalen.
The last time the Gophers faced Wisconsin-Green Bay was in the NCAA tournament in 2018 in Eugene. Minnesota won 89-77, behind Kenisha Bell’s game-high 26 points.
If the Gophers win on Thursday, they’ll face the winner of South Dakota State vs. Ohio in the second round.
