Gophers volleyball to host open scrimmage Aug. 20

University of Minnesota volleyball fans will get a free chance to watch the team scrimmage later this month.

The program announced Friday that it will host an intrasquad scrimmage on Aug. 20 at 3:15 p.m. at Maturi Pavilion.

It will be open to the public and free to attend.

Fans are encouraged to enter through the west lobby, with doors opening an hour before the scrimmage.

The Gophers will begin the 2022 season on Aug. 26 against Baylor in Dallas as part of the Big Ten/Big 12 Challenge. Minnesota’s first home match is scheduled for Sept. 4 against Florida.
