The Gophers football team appears to have their replacement for Mo Ibrahim. In a last minute flip earlier this month, the Gophers convinced running back Sean Tyler to bypass his Oklahoma State commitment. The Gophers landed the back-to-back 1,000 yard season Western Michigan transfer.

Our Darren ‘Doogie’ Wolfson recently got to know Tyler, via a Zoom conversation.

Tyler led Western Michigan with 1,027 rushing yards and seven touchdowns last season, earning second-team All-Mid-American Conference honors for a second consecutive year. In 2021, he ran for 1,150 yards and nine touchdowns.

Tyler has one year of eligibility remaining.
