Gophers RB Potts discharged from Indiana hospital
Six days after the Gophers football game against Purdue, one of its players is finally back in Minnesota.
The University of Minnesota Athletics Department said running back Trey Potts was discharged from an Indiana hospital on Friday and returned to Minneapolis.
"Potts is doing well and will continue to receive follow-up care in Minnesota. We want to thank everyone for your thoughts and concern," the statement from the department added.
It’s still unclear what Potts was being treated for but the university said Monday that he left the game at Purdue in the fourth quarter and "was immediately observed and treated by the team’s medical staff and was then transported to a hospital for further observation."
The next Gophers game is Oct. 16 against Nebraska and it’s unclear if Potts will be available for that game.
