Gophers rally to beat Michigan; advance to Big Ten Tournament Championship
The Gophers rallied from 2-0 deficit in the 3rd period to beat Michigan 3-2 in overtime of the Big Ten Tournament semifinals Monday night.
Nathan Burke started the Gophers rally with a goal 4:07 into the 3rd period and Sampo Ranta sent the game to overtime when he scored with 4:26 remaining in regulation.
Edina native Sammy Walker scored the game-winner for Minnesota six minutes into overtime.
The Gophers face rival Wisconsin for the Big Ten Tournament championship Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. in South Bend, Indiana.
