Gophers men’s hockey take series opener at North Dakota
Playing in Grand Forks, North Dakota for the first time since 2017, the No. 11 Gophers took the series opener from the No. 6 Fighting Hawks, 5-1.
It’s the Gophers’ first win of the year on a Friday night.
Bryce Brodzinski led the Gophers with two goals, and he is now the team leader with eight. Jack LaFontaine was solid in net.
Game two of the series is Saturday night at 6 p.m. This series began in 1930.
