Gophers men’s hockey heads to Arizona for Thanksgiving with series at ASU

The No. 2 Minnesota men’s hockey team is red hot having won three straight games and headed for warmer weather this weekend for a two game series at Arizona State University in Tempe.

The Gophers are coming off a series sweep against then No. 3 Michigan. Minnesota scored 11 goals in the two wins.

Arizona State is (7-6) overall and is coming off back-to-back losses to Clarkson.

Gophers sophomore forward Matthew Knies is a native of Phoenix, the Knies family is planning on hosting the Gophers for Thanksgiving.
