Gophers gymnastics team treats fans to intrasquad meet

The Gophers women’s gymnastics team opened the 2022 season with an intrasquad scrimmage at Maturi Pavilion Friday afternoon.

Fifth year seniors Lexy Ramler and Ona Loper will provide leadership for this year’s team, which is coming off a Big Ten Championship.

"We had some really good routines and we were very excited for the freshmen to get out there," head coach Jenny Hansen said. "We learned a lot and remembered what it felt like to compete in this environment. I am proud of what we have done, but also really looking forward to what we can continue to work on."

The Gophers officially start the season on Monday, Jan. 17 when UCLA visits Maturi Pavilion.
