Gophers guard Carrington to miss time with leg injury

The University of Minnesota men’s basketball team will be without one of its regular members of the rotation for some time.

Thursday, the program announced that freshman guard Braeden Carrington suffered a right leg stress reaction that is expected to sideline him for at least four weeks.

Carrington has averaged 6.2 points across 22 minutes per game in 14 games this season.

His status will be reevaluated in four weeks.

The Gophers are back in action Thursday night when they host No. 3-ranked Purdue.
