Gophers football team adds Alabama to 2032, 2033 schedules

You want Bama? You got it — just not this decade.

The University of Minnesota football team has scheduled a home-and-home series with Alabama for the 2032 and 2033 seasons.

The Gophers will host the Crimson Tide on Sept. 18, 2032, and play at Alabama on Sept. 17, 2033, the university announced Tuesday.

The two programs have only met once in their histories: in the 2004 Music City Bowl, which Minnesota won 20-16.

Minnesota last played an SEC team in the 2020 Outback Bowl, when the Gophers beat Auburn 31-24.
