Gophers big man Eric Curry escapes serious injury

After leaving Wednesday’s loss at Michigan State early with an ankle injury, Gophers big man Eric Curry is doing ok and won’t miss significant time. Head coach Ben Johnson met with reporters Friday afternoon.

Curry was expected to do light work in practice Friday and is listed as day-to-day. Whether he can play Sunday vs. Iowa remains to be seen.
The Gophers are 10-4, 1-4 in the Big Ten, while the Hawkeyes are 12-4, 2-3 in conference play.
The Gophers are second in the Big Ten in fewest turnovers, and have the conference’s sixth-leading scorer. Jamison Battle leads the Gophers, averaging 17.9 points per game.
