Gophers advance in Big Ten Hockey Tournament after overtime win

Sampo Ranta netted the game-winning goal as the Gophers men’s hockey team beat Michigan State 2-1 in overtime in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament.

The Gophers trailed 1-0 in the third period when Bryce Brodzinki scored with 4:59 left in regulation to send the game to overtime in South Bend, Indiana.
