Gophers announce date for spring football game

The Minnesota Gophers now know when they will be playing their annual spring game.

This year’s game will be played at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 30 at Huntington Bank Stadium.

If you aren’t able to make the game, the team says it will also be broadcast by BTN. As of this time, radio broadcast information hasn’t been released.

The winner of the Maroon vs. Gold game will get the Goldy’s Cup, and one player will be named the Sid Hartman Spring Game MVP.

Fans will also be able to donate diapers in the team’s annual diaper drive when they arrive at the game.

Diapers can be dropped off outside the stadium outside of West Plaza near Tribal Nations Plaza.

In addition, fans are also able to bring a decorated oar to the game, which will then be added to the hallway the Gophers travel from when they walk to the field from their locker room.
