Erma Walker scored 30 points as Hopkins defeated Maple Grove 84-78 in the Class 4A state semifinals Thursday night at Williams arena in Minneapolis.

Hopkins, who lost in the state championship game last season, also got a 20-point effort from McDonald’s All-American Liv McGill.

Jordan Ode led Maple Grove with 21 points.
