Girls Hockey: #1 Chisago Lakes skates by Holy Angels

Class A girls hockey’s #1-ranked Chisago Lakes scored a quick goal early then two more late to beat Holy Angels 3-1 Thursday evening at the Richfield Ice Arena.

The Wildcats did not take long to strike, scoring 13 seconds into the game off the stick of senior Jenna Lawry.
The game remained 1-0 until the third period when Wildcats junior Dani Brunette scored to make it 2-0 with 16:18 left to play.
Lawry, a Minnesota-Duluth commit, scored an insurance goal for the Wildcats four minutes later.

Holy Angels continued to battle and freshman Isabella LaMere scored to cut the Wildcats’ lead to 3-1 with 6:50 left.
But, Wildcats senior goaltender Anna Hanson shut the game down from there to give Chisago Lakes the 3-1 victory.
Holy Angels drops to 4-4, while Chisago Lakes improves to 9-1 on the season.
