Former Lynx, ’98 Ms. Basketball Tamara Moore hired to coach college men’s team
Former Lynx player and 1998 Minnesota Miss Basketball Tamara Moore is the new head coach of the men’s basketball team at Mesabi Range College in Virginia, Minnesota.
The school announced Moore’s hiring on the Norsemen basketball team’s twitter account Saturday which, coincidentally, was Moore’s birthday.

Moore led Minneapolis North to a state championship in 1998 on her way to earning Ms. Basketball honors.
In college, she starred at the University of Wisconsin where she earned enshrinement in the Badger Athletics Hall of Fame.
Then, as a professional, Moore played six seasons in the WNBA, including a season with the Minnesota Lynx as a rookie in 2002.
The Mesabi Range Norsemen compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association.
