Former Gopher Thomas Barber preparing for next level

Under the watchful eye of noted trainer Bill Welle, former Gophers linebacker Thomas Barber has been working hard at Training Haus in Eagan.
Barber didn’t receive an invitation to next week’s Combine, but he’ll still get a chance to impress NFL scouts at the Gophers’ March 25 Pro Day.

Barber, who starred at Robbinsdale Armstrong high school, was a three-year starter for the Gophers. He also contributed on special teams in his first year in 2016.
Barber’s dad and two older brothers all played in the NFL.
