Chaska native Jimmy Snuggerud ready for NHL Draft

We featured the highest-ranked Twin Cities NHL Draft prospect on 5-Eyewitness News and 45-TV on Monday. His name is Jimmy Snuggerud and he played at Chaska high school before joining the USA Developmental Program.

Snuggerud will play for the Gophers next season. He is a third-generation Gopher, following his father, Dave, and his grandfather, Jim Westby. Dave also played in the NHL for Philadelphia, Buffalo, and San Jose.
The NHL Draft is July 7-8. Snuggerud is projected to go in the 20-35 range.
