Farmington started the game red hot, particularly from behind the arc. The Tigers opened up the game on a 17-4 run behind three three-pointers from senior guard Peyton Blandin and a bucket from senior center Sophie Hart.

On the inside, junior forward Rose Wille controlled the paint with numerous layups. Farmington’s offensive and defensive effort led to a 55-21 halftime lead. Blandin finished the half with 22 points, while Hart had 12 at the break.

Farmington then opened the second half on a 22-5 run to continue their offensive dominance, stretching the lead to 77-26.

Blandin finished with 25 points, while Hart finished with 19 points.

The Tigers advance to the State Tournament for the second straight year. Last year, the Tigers were poised to face Hopkins for the Class AAAA State Championship when the tournament was cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak.
