Former Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph is the type of guy who stands by his word. He’s back in Minnesota after New York Giants minicamp supporting VEAP, the Twin Cities largest food bank.

"To have this one here in our backyard just highlights the need that we have here in the Twin Cities. Every bit helps. $1.00 for three meals so you do the math, that can add up really quickly. Three meals can certainly make a difference in someone’s life," said Giant’s tight end Kyle Rudolph.

Taste Fore the Tour is an event taking place on July 19th at Interlachen Country Club raising money for VEAP, Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People. This provides the opportunity to give assistance to people and families who need it through food donations.

The goal of this food drive is to raise $200,000 for people in the Twin Cities — currently, the fundraising effort has reached the halfway point of that goal.

"We have to support organizations like this in Minnesota where we are planted, it’s absolutely vital. You can donate to the Taste Fore the Tour and to VEAP. The need is always growing," said Andrew Zimmern.

Each year, VEAP distributes over four million pounds of food to 27,000 community members in need. 100% of the proceeds from the event as well as additional public donations will be donated to VEAP.

Donations can be online at TasteForeTheTour.com and to VEAP.org.
