ESPN analyst and former Jets and Dolphins front office executive Mike Tannenbaum would pay Vikings RB Dalvin Cook north of $12M/year. Cook is seeking a contract extension, as the final year of his deal will pay him only $1.3 million.
Tannenbaum talked to our Darren ‘Doogie’ Wolfson today, via Zoom, about Cook, WR Justin Jefferson, the idea of a season taking place in a bubble, and more.

Cook didn’t take part in virtual meetings with the Vikings the last two weeks, and won’t participate in any team-related activities until he receives what he and his agent consider a resonable offer. With training camp set to start in late July, the clock is ticking.
Cook starred last season, amassing 1,135 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns. Offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak praised Cook in a Zoom call with reporters earlier this week, noting his brilliance, talent, and work ethic.
