Eden Prairie preparing for AA State Tournament

Coach Lee Smith has his Eden Prairie Eagles in the boys hockey state tournament for an 11th time under his guidance. The Eagles earned the 3-seed in AA, and will open up vs. Lakeville South on Thursday.
KSTP Sports was at a recent Eden Prairie practice and talked with Smith, forwards Ben Steeves and John Mittelstadt, and defenseman Luke Mittelstadt.

Steeves is a UMD commitment, and a Mr. Hockey finalist, while the Mittelstadt brothers are Gophers commitments. Their older brother, Casey, is in the Buffalo Sabres system.
Eden Prairie lost in the AA championship game last year to Edina.
