Eagan boys hoops edges St. Thomas Academy with basket in final seconds

One of the best high school basketball games last week was when the Eagan boys topped St. Thomas Academy with a last second basket. KSTP Sports was there.

Eagan’s Owen Ford got a steal and layup with just seconds to go to propel the Wildcats to a 56-54 win. Ford only scored two points in the entire game, but they came at just the right time. The Cadets couldn’t get a shot up in the final 2.6 seconds, as the Wildcats took home the victory.

St. Thomas Academy will host Bloomington Kennedy on Wednesday night, while Eagan travels to Eastview to face the Lightning on Tuesday night.
