Cook on Miami homecoming, Cousins, O’Connell preview Dolphins

Before he was an All-Pro for the Vikings, and before he was a consensus All-American at Florida State, Dalvin Cook starred for Miami Central High School. On his way to helping the Central Rockets win the first two of three straight State Championships, Cook played a few games at Dolphins Stadium. He’ll back on that field – where he says he’s undefeated – in Week 6 as the Vikings travel to Miami.

With first-string quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and backup Teddy Bridgewater both out with injuries, the Dolphins say rookie seventh-round draft pick Skylar Thompson will start Sunday’s game against the Vikings.

Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel announced that Tua Tagovailoa will throw at practice on Wednesday as he progresses through the concussion protocol, but has already ruled him out for Week 6.

The Vikings enter Week 6 stop the NFC North standings with a 4-1 record, and have their by week following the game against the Dolphins.
