Brown, one of the best wings in the country in the Class of 2021, chose the Bears last week over the Gophers, Arizona, Arkansas, Illinois, Kansas, Marquette, Maryland, Ohio State and Virginia.

He noted forming a tight bond with Baylor head coach Scott Drew and ass’t coach Jared Nuness. The latter, a Twin Cities native, has known Kendall’s dad for many years. He also said that Baylor securing two other top commitments from the 2021 Class didn’t hurt. Two weeks ago the Bears landed elite 2021 prospects Jeremy Sochan, of Orange Academy (Germany) and Langston Love, of Montverde (Fla.) Academy.

Last season, Brown averaged 14 points, 1.7 steals, 3.5 rebounds and four assists a game at Sunrise Christian.

Brown noted that if there’s a season, the game he’s most looking forward to is the one at Minnehaha Academy. They feature big man Chet Holmgren, the No. 1 overall ranked player in the 2021 Class, per ESPN.
