Concordia-St. Paul women’s hoops dominate Crookston to begin season

The Concordia-St. Paul Golden Bears women’s basketball team defeated the Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagles 95-32, Saturday afternoon at the Gangelhoff Center.

The Golden Bears jumped up to an early 13-2 lead and never looked back. The defensive effort was evident, allowing only six points in both the second and third quarters.

Meghan DuBois led the way for Concordia-St. Paul. She poured in 14 points to go along with 10 assists, eight rebounds, two steals, and one block. Lindsey Becher shot 6-7 from the field to add 12 points for the Golden Bears.

Concordia-St. Paul was helped by the three, shooting 11-19, for 57.9% on the game. Next up for the Golden Bears is a rematch with the Golden Eagles Sunday afternoon at 2 pm.
